Charles and Ida Pettersson

Grandfather / born 1875 in Ramkvilla / soon became fatherless. Even at 8 years old. Great-grandmother had to sell the farm in Rulla and move to the exceptional cottage that still stands. 1896 died great-grandmother Lena Sofia. According to reports, she went the final years of the root. She broke the femur and was unable to obtain food, but died of starvation in his cabin 1896th The parish register says "undantagsjon" at her death. My grandfather told me that he as a young man traveled to southern Sweden and worked as a farmhand, both in southern Sweden and in Denmark. This says nothing about the church records and it is therefore likely that there were long periods of time. However, it is about an older sister that she moved to Denmark. Two older brothers Francis and John emigrated to America, Califonia. Grandfather rented a cottage as popularly called The button on top of "Ekenäsa li" along the old highway. Cottage for a poor recovery and grandfather did-days of Janson on large farm Ekenäs. My grandfather had words for being thorough and diligent. He married Ida Hjärtberg in April 1902nd On the button was born my father Hugo and his younger brother David. March 14, 1908 the family moved to Rovön in Höreda parish. Rovön was an old croft house. The price was 5700 SEK, and sellers were more Pershult Peasants, among others. a Charles John, Alfred and Charles Blom. (They lived in my childhood) was born here another 5 children: Getrude, Martha, Astrid, Elsa and Ingrid. My father Hugo was born in 1904, Ingrid was born in 1920.I this little cottage in a room and kitchen lived around 1920 nine people. My grandfather was very conservative and they churn butter and sold on the square in Eksjo well into the 40th century
